A holiday in the village of Nidri in Lefkas is not complete without a visit (and a swim!). Waterfalls are increasingly common on the bucket lists of holidaymakers, cascading from 15 meters high into the cool, natural swimming pool below and surrounded by picturesque greenery.

Corfu

Corfu is Greece’s Emerald Isle (or Kerkyra as locally known) because its lush green landscape stretches from coast to coast. Kerkyra is a UNESCO world heritage site in the middle of everything, the capital, and an old city. Dive into the busy squares or lose yourself in the fascinating winding alleys. The city houses a fortress, an old citadel, and many colorful buildings full of elegance and charm. The Venetian roots are complimentary.

Preveza

Situated on the border of the Ambracian Gulf, the village of Preveza is a picturesque village, like Corfu. The town is more lively and stylish than its small size, with the large international yachting port, nice small hotels, nice restaurants, and nightlife. And with a beautiful car-free waterfront and an old quarter. The massive Nikopoli ruins are in the vicinity, and the coast, along the way from Parga, is full of impeccable beaches (if sometimes windy).

Romania

In 2021 Europe’s Best Destinations competition the central Romania city of Sibiu is among those chosen. Sibiu is on the list of selected tourist destinations in the competition for the first year in a row.

The competition is held this year from 20 January to 10 February. The cities are ranking according to the number of votes received. Votes can be cast here – by IP address one vote per week. The title of “European Best Destinations 2021” is given for the most voted destinations on 10 February. Throughout the year, they are promoted as top destinations in Europe for travelers, the media, and the tourism industry.

Sibiu

Sibiu is probably one of Romania’s most beautiful cities and one of Europe’s best destinations. Sibiu is located in the heart of Transylvania’s renowned and pretty historic province. The combination of history and the vital spirit of a contemporary European city is marvelous.

The town’s more than 800 years in history have strong roots but it’s strongly linked to Europe’s present and values, all of which give the city a special character. Sibiu combines its valuable built heritage with its cultural heritage with a dynamic city life, which is European, cosmopolitan, and young.

Cluj-Napoca

The percentage of the students of Cluj-Napoca, often referred to as simply Cluj, is Romania’s largest. The young crowd creates a cosmopolitan air in the city and contributes to the nightlife. Watch people from the terrace of one of the city’s outdoor cafes, admire the beautiful Baroque architecture and attend a show at the theatre and the opera house.

Croatia

Nestled in northern Croatia on the southern tip of the Istrian Peninsula, the city of Pula is full of charm and captures the charm of the small city which draws its tourists. The capital of the region provides an enticing combination of the modern bustle of Croatia with the old Rome atmosphere. Last, of all, the Roman Amphitheater of the city is perfect for the first century, constructed of calcareous stone and still hosting concerts and festivals for up to 20,000 spectators.

Cavtat

Cavtat is once more one of the best destinations in Europe in this year’s top travel wish list. Sun, sea, cuisine, nature, culture, relaxation, Cavtat is just what you need in 2021! Do you dream of a place where life is just a joy? A lot to do, to see, to enjoy, and to experience at your doorstep.

Help us find this place… In Croatia, near “must visit” Dubrovnik is an astonishingly beautiful part of Europe. The town is called Cavtat, which is located in the region of Konavle – the Tuscany of Croatia. Perhaps the most famous place in Konavle is the picturesque and charming town of Cavtat, located only 18 kilometers from Dubrovnik.

Zagreb

A single sentence can sum up the impressions of many foreigners who live in Zagreb, business, and tourists: a large city that has managed to stay romantic and safe. There is an unlimited opportunity to visit music and theatre events, art displays, museums, sports activities, pleasant walks, interesting architecture, abundant parks, pedestrian zones, and amazement in the center of town.

Georgia

Georgia is one of the most beautiful countries in the world at the crossroads of two large continents on the route of the Great Silk Road and in the shadow of the Caucasus Mountains. It’s also an ancient and fascinating place with some of the most ancient wine-making beginnings known and the legendary hospitality of the people who believe that guests are blessings. Georgia is one of the world’s leading ‘must-see now’ destinations, with a thriving tourism infrastructure that now brings comfort to its spectacular environment.

Tbilisi

The visitors at first glance are impressed by this surprisingly enchanting city. Tbilisi has the image of an ancient and modern city with its harmonious integration; over the centuries it has accommodated persons from many cultures, ethnic backgrounds, and religions. In the old city of the city, a mosque, the synagogue, and the churches are especially standing side by side.

Batumi

This city of the Black Sea should be the highest on your list. Georgia’s second-largest city is a modern metropolis with amazing landscapes and unique historic sights.

As responsible travelers, we must always wonder whether we are comfortable with the ongoing conditions: tourism has an enormous impact on people and each country’s economies and is also safe. Whether or not we wish to travel is important to understand as we wait and observe all how different governments are responding to the current situation. Local highway trips and short breaks to adjacent destinations can be a good way to test the water before undertaking longer undertakings.
